Registration and Login:
How do I register?
Click on "New Student" link in the login box in our homepage www.esumz.net . Fill in your details and click "Accept". A confirmation email with a key (link) will be sent to your email account. When you confirm the key (link), your registration process is complete. You are now ready to log into our portal.9
When I register, I am asked for my phone number. How do I register without giving my phone number?
If you are not willing to give your phone number, please enter any numbers in the format xxx - xxx - xxxx in the box for phone number and then register. We would like to assure you that your phone number will not be used to make any marketing calls and will not be shared with anyone. It will also remain confidential information, if you choose to provide.
My password doesn't work when I log in.
When you register, a confirmation email is sent to your email account. Please click on the confirmation message link to activate your account. This extra step is needed to ensure your privacy and that no one else is misusing your user id.
I forgot my password. How do I get it?
It is easy. Below the login / register menu, you will see "Forgot your password". Simply enter your email address in the box provided and click `forgot your password' link, your password will be emailed to your email account.
When I try to login, I get the message "You are already logged in a session". What should I do?
If you closed your session without logging out, then you will get this message. Below the above message you should see another message "Last time if you have closed the browser using the `X' button then click here". Click on the link and provide the verification details asked, after which an email will be sent to your email account. Follow the instructions in the email and you will be able to login.
This is done more to protect your privacy and ensure that no one else is using your login.

Buy/Renew Package:
How do I buy a package?
- First register in the portal and then login using your username and password.
- In the student welcome page on the left side, you will find a tab "Packages".
- Select "Buy Package", which will take you to a page where you can select the package you want to buy.
- Click "Pay" when you are done. Confirm your order in the following page which will then redirect you to PayPal where you can enter your credit card information and buy the package.
- Once you have purchased the package, return to the EsumZ homepage and you should be able to use the package you just bought.
How do I renew an existing package?
- Login using your user name and password. In the student welcome page on the left side, you will find a tab "Packages".
- Select "Renew Package", which will take you to a page showing your existing package. Click "Renew".
- Confirm your order in the following page which will then redirect you to PayPal where you can enter your credit card information and buy the package.
- Once you have purchased the package, return to the EsumZ homepage and you should be able to see your active hours updated.
When can I see my package/active hours updated?
Once your payment has been cleared by PayPal, immediately you should be able to see your package status/active hours updated when you login to EsumZ. Usually this is done instantly.
What should I do when my package date expires but I still have balance hours remaining?
Please try to use your package before your expiry date. If due to unavoidable circumstances, you are not able to do so, please contact your tutor or send an email to admin@esumz.net. Please note that we will consider extension of expiry date only for genuine reasons.
Even after I have made a payment, my package status has not been updated.
After you made a payment in the PayPal, you should return back to EsumZ homepage. If you do not do so your package will not get updated. If you did not return to our homepage after making a payment, please send an email to admin@esumz.net to get your package status updated.

What is a Classroom?
Classroom has materials on various math topics that you can learn to reinforce and supplement what you have already learnt at school.
Why am I not able to see any scheduled classes?
Only if you have active learning plan hours for a topic/chapter, you will be able to see the classes scheduled by the tutor for that topic/chapter.
How will I know if a tutor has scheduled a class?
When you have a learning plan for a topic/chapter and a tutor has scheduled a class for that topic/chapter, an email will be sent to your email account regarding the scheduled class. Also the scheduled classes are listed in the welcome page under the "List of Active Scheduled Classes" tab.
How can I subscribe to a class?
Please login using your username and password. In the student welcome page you will be able to see "List of Active Scheduled Classes". When you click on that tab, the list of scheduled classes will be displayed. For each class a "Subscribe" link is provided. Click on the "Subscribe" button for the class that you want to attend. you will be subscribed to that class.
Can I unsubscribe from a class?
Yes. You can unsubscribe from a class before the class starts. Click on "List of Active Subscribed Classes" and click "more". The classes that you have subscribed for will be listed. You can click on "Unsubscribe" link to unsubscribe from a class. Once the tutor has started the class you will not be able to unsubscribe.
Will my active hours get credited when I unsubscribe from a class?
Yes. Your active hours will automatically be credited when you unsubscribe from a live tutoring session.
What should I do when my learning plan hour for a topic/chapter is completed and I want to attend additional classes for that topic/chapter?
Please ask your tutor to create additional learning plan hours for that topic/chapter so that you can attend additional classes.
How do I request for personalized tutoring sessions?
In the student welcome page on the left side menus, you will see a tab "Personalized Tutor Sessions". Click on "Create Tutor sessions". Enter the topic/chapter, date, time and duration for which you need the personalized sessions. Note that our tutors need at least 12 hrs advance notice for personalized sessions. Click on "Request". Once a tutor accepts your request, an email will be sent to you regarding the session. When you click on "List of Active Tutor Sessions", you should be able to see your session listed with the Tutor's details.
How frequently, can I request for a personalized tutoring session?
You are allowed only one personalized tutor session a month. Please try to clarify all your doubts during your live tutoring session itself. If you still have doubts and think you certainly need a personalized tutor session, then you can request for one. You can also send an email to your tutor with your questions.
What should I do when I want to cancel or reschedule an Active Tutor Session?
Please note that once you request for a personalized tutor session and a tutor accepts your request, you will not be able to cancel or reschedule the session. As our tutors will be engaged in their classes throughout the week, please make sure that you will definitely attend the scheduled session.
Online Practice Test & Assessment Reports:
How can I take a Test?
First you have to register and buy a package to take up a test. Once you have a bought a package, you will have to complete a live tutoring session to take a practice test in that topic/chapter. Once you have completed a live tutoring session for a topic/chapter, then you can take up the practice tests any number of times. (Attending a live tutoring session is a pre-requisite for taking assessment tests).
Can I use the BACK button during a test?
Yes. You can definitely use the BACK button to go back and verify/correct your answers anytime during the test.
How many times can I take a practice test for a topic/chapter?
There is no limit to take practice tests for a topic/chapter. You can take any number of practice tests and improve your skills in that topic/chapter. Your scores will be updated based on your latest score.
What are EZ Math signs and how do I use them?
Our portal is fully enabled for math learning. EZ math signs are provided for the easy use of math signs and symbols. EZ math signs can be used when taking word problem tests. Just click on the math topic and the sign/symbol that you want to use. This would make typing these math symbols not necessary.
How does scoring work?
All questions are rated `easy', `medium' and 'difficult' based on the levels of skills required to answer them. By default, the students are usually given easy skill level questions while attempting to take an assessment for the first time in a topic.
The scores are based on weighted average, which works as below:
Questions rated easy will have a weight age of `1', medium questions will have a weight age of `2' and difficult questions have a weight age of `3'. Based on the number of questions answered right and their weight age, the scores are determined by the assessment engine.
Where can I see my assessment report?
Assessment reports are generated instantly after every test and are available to the students in their welcome page. In the left side menu you should be able to see a tab "Assessment Report". Click on "Assessment report" and your reports for all the tests taken will be listed.
How can I improve my scores in a topic/chapter?
When you keep taking more practice tests, your performance is sure to improve. As your understanding of a topic increases along with the performance, the online assessment engine will keep feeding higher skill level questions for you to practice and improve your progress.
Will my name, performance charts or assessment results be listed or disclosed anywhere?
No. All information about you will be maintained confidential with absolute privacy. Your assessment results and performance charts will not be disclosed to anyone other than your parents, teachers or school administrators that you or your parent/guardian will identify and set up to access your performance data. We need your permission to give such an access or will need your school board to set up this up access as part of their funding your education with us.
I find some of the questions or classroom materials have errors or mistakes. How will you fix them?
We have taken great care to prepare and load our content in to our database. Despite our best efforts, if you come across mistakes or errors, please use the 'Comments / Feedback' page to let us know the mistakes. For example if you can give the grade, topic and question information and the error, we will correct them immediately. This will also benefit all users.
